Starting with a day trip from Mayur vihar extension metro station, Delhi to Mathura and Vrindavan at 6 am morning, the journey can take around three to three and a half hours depending on traffic. Mathura is the birthplace of Lord Krishna and has many ancient temples and holy places Shrikrishna Janmabhoomi Mandir Geeta Shri Lord Shri Krishna was born. It is the most important tourist attraction in Mathura. Other important temples include Dwarkadhish Temple, Vishram Ghat and Mathura Museum. Vrindavan on the other hand is the playground of Lord Krishna and is also home to some of the most famous temples in India Among which are Bakke Bihari Mandir, ISKCON Mandir and Prem Mandir are famous “must” visit places in Vrindavan. You can also take a heritage walk in Vrindavan to see the rich and cultural heritage of the city. Apart from visiting the temples, you can bathe in the sacred ghats of the Yamuna river, visit the local market, attend the evening aarti at the temple.
