Detailed Itinerary

• DAY 1: Arrival at Bagdogra airport to Phuentsholing Bhutan.

  On arrival at NJP / IXB you will be greeted and transferred to Pheuntsholing – The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India, Pheuntsholing (also sometimes spelled Phuntsholing) is the second largest town in Bhutan (population around 40,000) and is located on the Indian border, next to the town of Jaigaon . Evening free to rest and recuperate. Overnight stay at hotel.

• DAY 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu

  Breakfast at the hotel. Permit has to be obtained from the Bhutan Department of Immigration that opens at 9am (Permit procedure may take time). After obtaining the Permit, drive to Thimphu. On the way, visit Kharbandi monastery ,visit Damchu waterfall , visit handicraft market of Thimpu for shopping, On arrival at Thimphu check in at the hotel. Overnight in Thimphu.

• DAY 3: Thimphu Sightseeing. Transfer To Paro (Approx 65 kms – 1.30 hrs drive)..

  After breakfast proceed to sightseeing - Visit Buddha statue at Kuensel photdrang - Visit Kuensel phordrang park - Visit folk heritage museum and simply Bhutan - Drive to Paro - Visit birds eye view of Paro valley and airport - Visit rinpung dzong - Try our Bhutanese national dress if interested - Visit handicraft market of Paro - Over night at Paro

• DAY 4: Hike to tiger nest monastery

  -Breakfast in hotel -Hike to the Tiger monastery -After hike if interested can do Bhutanese traditional Hot stone bath -Try our bhutanese national dress if interested -Visit handicraft market of Paro -Overnight at Paro Or Those who not wants to go on hike, being a bit strenuous, can visit other local sights like the National museum Ta Dzong –The first of its kind which has a collection from natural history to religious paintings and then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong (also known as Paro Dzong) which has a long and fascinating history. Afternoons proceed for sightseeing includes Drukgyel Dzong, the ruined fortress from where Bhutanese repelled several invasions by Tibetan armies. Later visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. Evening stroll around Paro town and peep into some local handicraft’s stores. Night Return to the hotel. Overnight at Paro.

• DAY 5: Paro to Phuentsholing

  After breakfast at the hotel - Visit National museum -Drive to Phuentsholing -Visit shaba river side -Visit tachog lhakhang -On the way you can stop to click the pictures -Overnight at Phuentsholing.

• DAY 6: Drop to Bagdogra airport

  -Break fast at Hotel -Drop to Bagdogra Airport as per your timing.
