Detailed Itinerary

• DAY 1: Arrival at Guwahati Airport/ Railway station

  Upon your arrival, the driver will transfer you from the Guwahati Airport / railway station to your hotel in Shillong. On the way, visit Umiam Lake aka Barapani, an amazing man-made reservoir encircled with lush green hills. Once you reach Shillong check-in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

• DAY 2: Sightseeing

  The driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a sightseeing tour of the city. The Khasi people have a deep connection to the land and nature, and their traditions and way of life are intertwined with the natural world. You will get a sense of this when you interact with the locals during your visit to the Laitlung Canyons. Begin the day with a scenic drive to Laitlum Canyon followed by a visit to the Don Bosco Museum. Continue the journey to the beautiful Hydari Park and Wards Lake. After the tour, explore the vibrant Police Bazaar where you can shop for some souvenirs. Return back to your hotel in Shillong for an overnight stay.

• DAY 3: Shillong to Mawlynnong , Journey to the above of the clouds.

  Check-out from your hotel after which the driver will pick you up and take you on a tour to the nearby regions of Cherrapunji. Cherrapunjee, also known as Sohra, is a high-altitude town in the of Meghalaya. It’s known for its living root bridges, made from rubber trees. Visit places like Elephant Falls, Mawkdok Dympep View Point, Wei Sawdong Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, and Seven Sisters Falls on this excursion. At 1,115 feet (340 meters), the Nohkalikai Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in India. Explore the Mawsmai and Arwah caves which are famous for their fossils and limestone structure. After an amazing tour, head towards Mawlynnong for a comfortable overnight stay. Mawlynnong has earned a reputation for being one of the cleanest villages in Asia.

• DAY 4: Mawlynnong to Shillong by Dawki village

  Once you check-out from your hotel in Mawlynnong your driver will take you on a sightseeing tour. You can get to see a Balancing Rock and marvel at this amazing phenomenon. Continue on to Riwai Village, where you'll walk on the Living Root Bridge. Next, head to Dawki for an amazing boat ride on the crystal clear waters of Umngot River. Post boat ride, towards Shillong for a comfortable overnight stay.

• DAY 5: Departure

  Pack your bags and check-out from your hotel in Shillong after which you will be taken you to Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati. Here, you can pay your respects to the Goddess Kamakhya, the embodiment of Shakti. After the tour, the driver will drop you off at the Guwahati Airport / railway station, where your exhilarating 5-day journey will come to an end.
