Bir is a village located in the west of Joginder Nagar Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh in northern India. Mostly referred as "Paragliding Capital of India", Bir is also a noted centre for ecotourism, spiritual studies and meditation. Bir is also home to a Tibetan refugee settlement with several Buddhist monasteries and a large stupa.

Detailed Itinerary

  • DAY 1: Delhi

    Manju ka tila, Delhi to Bir by bus

  • DAY 2: Bir

    Arrive Bir and Check in at 1400 hrs, overnight stay in Camp Oak View, Bir.

  • DAY 3: Paragliding

    Morning post breakfast check out at 1000 hr. and drive for 1 hr. to paragliding take off point at Billing for paragliding session. Safety briefing by pilot for paraglider and paragliding flight of 15 to 30 mins. with experience pilot. Landing at landing site at Chougan area of Bir and departure.

  • DAY 4: Bir

    Bir to Manju ka tila, Delhi by bus

Inclusions

  • Accommodation for 01 night at Camp Oak View, Bir on twin sharing basis with mandatory requirement of minimum 2 paying adults.
  • Dinner and Breakfast.
  • Nature walk/village walks.
  • Paragliding session of 15-30 mins. from Billing (take off point) to Bir(landing area).
  • Bonfire in the evening.
  • Check in at 1400 hrs and check out at 1000 hrs.
  • Accompanied by paragliding pilot for Paragliding.
  • Paragliding transfer from Bir to Billing for 16 km..

Exclusions
  • Any meals other than specified in the program.
  • Transportation not mentioned above.
  • Any en-route or personal expenses such as alcoholic & non alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, tips & gratuities, laundry etc.
  • Personal equipment for trek like clothes, shoes, day packs, personal medical kit etc.
  • Liability for or insurance against injury, loss of life, accidents or loss of goods.
  • Videography and Pahotography of paragliding flight, supplement charges in INR 500/- for GOPRO vieo.
  • Paragliding weight limit is 15-95 kg, if weight is between 95-115 kg the paragliding team charge INR 500/- extra and also decide it at the time of paragliding, depending upon fitness of person.
  • Any exigency expenses caused by or liability for disturbance in trip program due to circumstances beyond our normal control. Such as airline delays, road blocks, vehicle malfunctions, weather conditions, sickness, natural disasters, riots etc.
  • Travel insurance covering medical evacuation, hospitalization, baggage insurance and trip cancellation.
